This policy explains how Skillcard OÜ collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website or get in touch with us. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

What we collect

We only collect the data we need to respond to you and run our site.

  • Information you give us. When you fill in the “Book a call” form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, organisation, role, what you would like help with, and whether you have given marketing consent.
  • Usage data. We use a privacy friendly, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) that gives us aggregated, anonymous statistics about how the site is used. It does not identify you personally and does not track you across other websites.
  • Approximate location. On the call form, your approximate country is detected from your IP address so we can fill in the correct phone country code for you. This lookup is handled by a third party service and the result is not stored.

How we use your data

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange a call or demonstration.
  • To provide and improve our product and website.
  • To send you marketing material, but only if you have given us your consent.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Legal basis

We rely on your consent for marketing communication, and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and operating our business for everything else. Where you contact us about becoming a customer, we also process your data to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

If you opt in, we may contact you by telephone, SMS, and email with promotional offers and news about Skillcard. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at skillcard@skillcard.pro or by using the unsubscribe option in our emails.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our site and respond to you, and only as far as needed:

  • Resend delivers the email that carries your enquiry to our team.
  • Calendly lets you book a call with us when you choose a time.
  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Umami provides anonymous usage analytics.
  • ipapi.co detects your approximate country from your IP address for the phone field.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep a record of our business dealings, after which it is deleted. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Restrict or object to how we use your data.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
